Short Term Goals of the City Attorney

  1. Formalize the so far intermittent continuing legal updates with the police officers so that they occur on a quarterly basis.
  2. Obtain input from you and the members of the Council as to the degree and nature of usefulness of the semi-weekly Council Reports.
  3. Undertake a review and codification of the Code chapters on utilities.
  4. Work with the Court in an attempt to better utilize our jury day.

Long Term Goals of the City Attorney

  1. Strengthen the pattern of preventative advice.

  2. Undertake a review of the "form" contracts which are currently being utilized by the City.

Biographical Information

The Glenn family has lived in Grays Harbor since about 1869.  Dan grew up in Satsop, where his parents operated an automotive/farm equipment/appliance/truck business.  He attended Satsop Grade School, Elma High School, and Grays Harbor College.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Central Washington State College and taught junior high school for six years in Olympia before entering the University of Washington School of Law.  Admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1972, Dan began representing the City of Montesano in 1975 and has done so ever since.  He also represents the neighboring cities of Elma, McCleary, and Oakville.
